The Basic Opt-In

You probably have seen these before, on this site, as well as others. They DO work, with the right lead magnet and copy.

This is a great way to turn visitors into leads. There’s actually a lot to it.. psychology, tech, and legal aspects and involves more than just setting a few buttons, as simple as they seem to the user.

This is hands-down one of my favorite ways of building a list. Quizzes are not only FUN and engaging, but can really help you nail your ideal clients. 

There’s nothing quite like getting your results and thinking to yourself “omg. she nailed it. This is ME!” 

The odds of people signing up to your list to get DETAILED results is pretty darn good!

In fact, email still drives the highest ROI out of all marketing strategies. On average, businesses can earn $44 for every dollar spent on email marketing.

Can you create an opt in form for my SquareSpace Site?

Yes.

I don’t recommend it though, over owning and investing in your own website (typically WordPress)

First, because you may be locked into SS’s email service, which isn’t really the best. OR..

Secondly, if you want to use your own service, you will have to rely on a 3rd party workaround to get an opt-in up and running.

This is never a great idea, since these parties can and DO disappear or go out of business.

Your choices are severely limited, especially as your business grows. 

Thirdly, if you ARE going to go the fully hosted route, it may very well pay off to just go with a platform like Kartra when you sit down and look at the numbers.

There is a 3rd party service called Privy than can be integrated with SquareSpace.

Are the package prices listed above absolute?
No.

The prices listed here are a starting point and a guide. Email marketing has many components and individualized “moving parts” and is therefore highly customized.

If you already have a lead magnet or concept for one, a clear vision, and a basic funnel concept in place, AND use WordPress and services that integrate easily, we’ll be looking at the starting price or very close to it.

If you are not sure of your niche yet and have no ideas about sales funnels, lead magnets, or what you might offer, or use systems that don’t integrate easily with other systems (Sqarespace, Kartra, and other hosted platforms, or lesser-known email marketing services) the cost may be a little more.

Depending on where you are at, it may make sense to get other “ducks in a row” first.

I can help with those things too, but not as part of these standard packages.

The best thing to do is set up a call to discuss your individual needs.

Do you write the emails?
You must write the content for your own emails for the basic plan.

The premium plan includes sales copy and a landing page.

What if I don't have a Lead magnet yet?

For these plans, you will need a lead magnet, which is generally a “freebie” that you give in exchange for an email address.

If you are stuck, a few options are:

1. Creating your lead magnet first. I can help with that, but you can also get fantastic info from Amy Porterfield. I’m a fan of hers.

2. My coaching plans: This may be a good option if you have mindset blocks or need help developing and executing an idea. I’m pretty good at that. It’s a more personal approach.

3. Building a quiz as an opt in. With this option, it can be as simple as coming up with a few quiz questions and let the “machinery” do the rest. 

You will still need to treat it as a STRATEGY and not just another TACTIC by defining the purpose of the quiz, who it’s for, and how to apply it to your list or sales funnel. 

How Do Quizzes Work?
You may be familiar with taking quizzes online and how addictive they can be!

These are designed to be fun and engaging, with about 3-10 questions which provide an instant result.

The COOL thing is that your lead magnet can be as simple as typing up a detailed explanation in a word file and saving it as a .pdf for each category.

For example, if your types are “Gryffendor, HufflePuff, RavenClaw, and Slytherin,” you can send each group their OWN detailed results.. and your can segment your list accordingly.. no need to send emails to a HufflePuff that may be more appropriate for a RavenClaw.
