Attracting clients isn’t just about a pretty website.

It’s NOT about making random cosmetic changes or thinking of branding as the “icing on the cake.”

It’s not about colors, fonts, and images. (that’s just part of it)

It all starts with your message, and a little something called Storytelling. 

Many service-based entrepreneurs struggle, not because they don’t deliver transformational work, but because they aren’t aware of the power of storytelling and the message behind their brand.  When your message and your brand aren’t in alignment with the people you are meant to work with, your business can’t succeed.  Seriously. 

It’s NOT the icing on the cake. It’s the very foundation of your business. It’s baked into the cake.

I was able to easily attract my ideal patients in my acupuncture clinic.

I thought it would also be easy to attract other clinicians who also wanted to scale their practices, because I really knew the industry and knew a thing or two about websites, email, and marketing strategy.

The truth..

I struggled in attracting the right clients for me. I wasn’t attracting those who valued what I did, benefited from it, and those who actually did the work.

This happened because my message wasn’t in alignment with entrepreneurs who were serious  about and fully committed to their intention to grow (scale)  freedom-based business.  Business owners, in the true sense, who were actively looking for a strategy, not just another “quick win” to gather dust on their google drive. 

I also wasn’t really tapping into the potential of my story, their story, and where the two intersect.

Why waste all your hard work, expertise, and intelligence you have poured into your work, on a brand that is the equivalent of holding up a sign that makes it all look like a commodity?

“I’ll take a medium serving of your coaching/sessions/treatments/classes/workshops or whatever, please. How much does a medium package cost?”

IF that even happens.

Would you would rather:

A. Work with your ideal client, meaning the ones that value what you do and are excited to show up and actually benefit from your work and tell the world..

B. Work with “less than ideal” clients who don’t value what you do,  don’t want to pay for your work, don’t show up, don’t do the work, or maybe even tell others that “they tried _____ but it didn’t work..”

C. Keep shouting the same generic message  from the rooftops hoping that the right people will finally get how your offering can help them, but nobody “hears” you..

If you picked A, congratulations! These are the people that your business is built on. They are not just “icing on the cake.  Great clients are the core of your business. It’s THE CAKE, not the icing.

If you picked B, or even C, believe me when I tell you that attracting those who are NOT in alignment with the value you provide will actually bring your business into a downward spiral.

You don’t get paid. They don’t get results. You can’t invest in your business, and therefore are unable help more people.


It’s not because they are bad people trying to sabotage your business. It’s not their fault when this happens, it’s OURS.

We’re not helpless. We are resourceful and smart, and we can empower ourselves.
